Each spacebands wearable uses a triaxial accelerometer to measure vibration exposure while tools are being used. It records the duration and severity of exposure, then automatically calculates the worker’s daily A(8) value and HAV points.
All HAVS information is saved on each wearable device and uploaded to the analytics dashboard when the device is charged. Information is saved on the dashboard over time and you can look back at different date ranges and share this with your insurance company - only if you would like to do so!

No. Workers simply wear the device throughout their shift. There is no need to scan, select or manually associate individual tools, making the system easier to use consistently across changing tools and tasks.
The wearable can alert the worker using vibration, light or sound as their exposure approaches configured limits. This allows supervisors and workers to take action during the shift, such as stopping work, rotating tasks or changing equipment.
spacebands supports compliance by providing personal exposure data, real-time warnings and downloadable records. It should form part of a wider HAVS management programme that includes risk assessments, exposure controls, training, tool maintenance and health surveillance.
