The spacebands beacon sends a Bluetooth signal that communicates with our wearable devices when a worker enters a predefined safety zone - whether that’s near moving machinery, in a restricted area, or in a zone where PPE is required.
Important note: Beacons are optional - our core HAVS and noise-exposure monitoring works independently.
Beacons are designed to work in all conditions, and they are built for durability for use on machinery, vehicles and high traffic areas.

spacebands have transformed the way we control exposure to vibration. In just a year of use we have reduced exposure by close to 80%. And our production has become far more engaged in proactive safety.
I’d recommend spacebands to any company that takes safety seriously.

Since introducing spacebands, we’ve seen a huge improvement in how we manage hand–arm vibration exposure.
Our monitoring is now instant and accurate, and we’ve significantly reduced the risk of overexposure. The team is also more aware of safe working limits, which has boosted our overall safety culture.

We had previously used a different HAVs wearable, but they were sitting on a shelf gathering dust because our team didn't have the time for tool tagging.
With spacebands, they just have to be wearing the wearable and it records daily exposure.

spacebands gave us the ability to measure various levels of exposure, various tools and various tasks without having to recalibrate or recalculate; or most importantly having a negative effect on our production.
We looked at a few other options but no others that we saw came with that level of flexibility.
Investing in spacebands is a great way to keep your workforce safe, whilst saving your company money.
The cost of just one non-fatal workplace accident is £15,700 - this doesn't include regulatory fines, increased insurance premiums or reputational damage.

A beacon alerts employee’s wearing a spacebands wearable device when they come within a set proximity (near, middle, far). Admins are able to set the required distance at which a proximity alert signals a user.
Yes, you can set a range of near, middle or far as a proximity alert for each beacon you install.
The beacon constantly sends out a Bluetooth signal which is detected by the wearable device, alerting the user when they’re in range of the beacon. When the beacon signals to a wearable, the wearable stores this data until it can be shared with our servers.
Manufacturing, construction, logistics, rail, heavy plant operations and warehouse environments all face proximity hazards such as machine-to-person collisions or unauthorised access to dangerous zones. Beacon-enabled alerts help reduce those risks and provide data for near-miss investigation and trend analysis.
Yes, admins can customise wearable parameters so that certain users do not receive alerts when they are within range of a beacon. Drivers of fork lift trucks for example, can operate near their vehicle without a machine-to-person alert being triggered!
Our beacons have an incredible battery life, they will last for around 90 days on one charge. The beacon will beep and alert when it is running low on power; you will also receive a notification on your dashboard!
No, a beacon will only alert users that they are within proximity of a particular hazard. We have designed the system like this so that there is never any confusion about the oncoming hazard.
