OUR CUSTOMERS
Make sure the people stepping into high risk zones are actually qualified to be there. spacebands certification checks link access to real world training and qualifications, warning workers at the point of entry if they are not certified for a task, area or piece of equipment. You reduce the chance of serious incidents, failed audits and costly claims.

On many sites, it is still possible for an uncertified worker to end up operating plant, entering a lifting zone or working at height simply because no one checks in real time.
spacebands helps you close that gap. Certification checks let you tie access to the qualifications that actually matter on your site, such as crane operator licences, forklift permits, confined space training or working at height certification.
When a worker wearing a spacebands device approaches a certified zone and their profile does not match the requirements, the wearable alerts them immediately. You can prove that you tried to prevent unsafe work, support your risk assessments and show investigators that you take competence seriously.
By preventing unqualified people from carrying out higher risk work, you reduce the likelihood of accidents, errors and near misses caused by inexperience or inadequate skills.
Certified zone checks turn your site layout into a live map of who should be where and doing what.
With spacebands you can:
Regular checks and clear access rules help you catch issues before they become major incidents, reducing downtime and unplanned disruption.

To use spacebands certified zone checks you only need the devices below. Together they create a flexible layer of access control that works around your existing processes and permits.
spacebands wearables trigger certified zone alerts when they detect a beacon linked to an area that requires specific training or licences. You can define which certifications are needed for each zone and assign them to individual workers or groups through the dashboard.
Certified users can enter without being warned. Anyone else will receive an alert and the event is logged. Over time you build a picture of where uncertified access is most likely to be attempted so you can tighten controls, improve signage or adjust your procedures.

After a serious incident, investigators will ask whether the person involved was trained, competent and authorised to be there. If you cannot show that you controlled who entered high risk zones or used certain equipment, you may face enforcement action and expensive claims.
By combining certification checks with clear procedures, training and access controls, you significantly reduce the risk of someone untrained operating machinery, entering lifting zones or carrying out work at height.
Certified zone checks with spacebands help you:
Employers have a duty of care to identify hazards and control them. Certification checks are a practical way to show that you manage competence, not just assume it.
spacebands are helping Health & Safety managers around the world reduce accidents, injuries and legal claims

spacebands have transformed the way we control exposure to vibration. In just a year of use we have reduced exposure by close to 80%. And our production has become far more engaged in proactive safety.
I’d recommend spacebands to any company that takes safety seriously.

Since introducing spacebands, we’ve seen a huge improvement in how we manage hand–arm vibration exposure.
Our monitoring is now instant and accurate, and we’ve significantly reduced the risk of overexposure. The team is also more aware of safe working limits, which has boosted our overall safety culture.

We had previously used a different HAVs wearable, but they were sitting on a shelf gathering dust because our team didn't have the time for tool tagging.
With spacebands, they just have to be wearing the wearable and it records daily exposure.

spacebands gave us the ability to measure various levels of exposure, various tools and various tasks without having to recalibrate or recalculate; or most importantly having a negative effect on our production.
We looked at a few other options but no others that we saw came with that level of flexibility.
Investing in spacebands is a great way to keep your workforce safe, whilst saving your company money.
The cost of just one non-fatal workplace accident is £15,700 - this doesn't include regulatory fines, increased insurance premiums or reputational damage.

A certified access device uses permissions or qualifications to control who can enter specific zones. With spacebands, wearables and beacons work together to warn workers who are not certified for a task or area and record each event for your records.
Any site with restricted or high risk areas can benefit. Construction, manufacturing, logistics, ports, chemical operations and maintenance teams can all use certified zone checks to make sure only trained and authorised staff enter sensitive zones.
Yes. If a wearable is assigned to a named worker, you can see exactly who triggered the alert and where. If it is not yet assigned, the system records which device entered the area so you can investigate and link it to a person.
Certified access checks help you keep untrained workers away from high risk tasks, maintain compliance, improve accountability and reduce the chance of serious incidents. They also give you evidence that you controlled access if you ever need to defend your decisions.
Certified access devices can help improve workplace safety by controlling access to hazardous areas, monitoring access, preventing unauthorised access, enforcing safety policies, and facilitating emergency response efforts.
Yes. Admins can quickly add or remove certifications, update roles and change which zones they apply to through the dashboard. Changes roll out to wearables in minutes, which keeps your site aligned with your latest training and permit decisions.
