spacebands’ SOS feature provides a quick and efficient means for employees to call for help during emergencies.
spacebands’ SOS device automatically sends an immediate distress signal to all nearby devices when an SOS situation is detected.
This can lead to faster medical assistance, timely evacuation, or the resolution of hazardous situations, potentially preventing further injuries and saving lives
spacebands' “man down” or “person down” safety feature is designed to detect when a worker has fallen and become incapacitated or immobile.
If this situation arises, the device will send an alarm signal to alert other spacebands users for immediate assistance.
The incident is logged and saved to the analytics dashboard for future analysis.
In order to use spacebands’ SOS/person down feature you will need the equipment below:
The spacebands person down device contains sensors that detect sudden changes in orientation, movement, or posture. When a worker falls or is otherwise immobilised, the sensors detect this change and trigger an alert to nearby spacebands devices and send an SMS to an emergency contact.
Falls and near misses are saved to the analytics dashboard, allowing employers to identify administrative or operational procedures that could be improved.
Distance in metres other devices alerted
Length of time in seconds alert runs

Focus on workplace safety and the use of SOS/Man Down alarms as a way to protect workers across different industries.
A study conducted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) found that the use of a personal alarm device (PAD) significantly reduced the number of injuries and accidents in underground mining operations.
The study found that miners who used PADs had a 50% reduction in the number of injuries and a 36% reduction in the number of accidents compared to those who did not use the devices.

A man down or person down device is a safety device that is designed to detect when a person has fallen or is in a prone position and may be incapacitated or in need of assistance. It is commonly used in industries where workers may be operating alone or in hazardous environments, such as construction, mining, and oil and gas.
Person down devices are commonly used in industries where workers are exposed to hazardous environments or work alone, and where the risk of accidents is high. Any industry where workers are at risk of accidents or incapacitation can benefit from using person down devices to ensure their safety and provide peace of mind.
The primary benefit of using a person down device is to increase safety for workers. In hazardous work environments, workers may be at risk of injury or death if they become incapacitated due to a fall or other accidents. A person down device can help to detect these incidents quickly and loudly alert others to the worker's location, potentially saving their life.Employers have a responsibility to ensure the safety of their workers, and failure to provide appropriate safety equipment can result in legal liability. By providing person down devices to workers, employers can demonstrate that they have taken appropriate steps to ensure worker safety and reduce the risk of legal liability.
